Web chat

An AI chatbot for your website, in the same inbox as your calls and texts.

A visitor on your site has a question and no way to ask it that doesn’t involve a phone call or an email nobody answers until tomorrow. Hello Hotel adds a chat widget to your website. The AI answers from your property’s own knowledge, shows real rooms and rates for their dates, and hands off to your team the moment a person is needed. Web chat is not a separate tool. Every conversation lands in the same shared inbox as your calls and texts, and the same team answers all three.

What you get

An AI chatbot for hotels, built into the inbox you already run.

A script tag on your site and a knowledge base you already keep. That is the setup.

An AI that answers visitors on its own, from your information.

Real rooms, real rates, booked without leaving the chat.

The same inbox as your calls and texts, not a separate tool.

The visitor with intent

Your best guest books direct. Make that the easiest thing on your site.

A visitor who asks a question and gets an answer books with you, and the chat puts the room, the rate, and the booking link in the window they already have open. One who can’t ask opens another tab.

01 — For your front desk

The “do you have parking” questions answer themselves.

Check-in time, parking, pets, breakfast, and whether the hot tub is open in November all get answered from your knowledge base while your team is checking someone in. What reaches the inbox is the conversation that actually needs a person.

02 — For your GM or owner

Direct bookings from a question, not a phone call.

A visitor comparing you to an OTA gets rooms, rates, and a booking link inside the chat, quoting the rates on your booking engine once you have set its URL. There is no hold music between the question and the reservation.

03 — For the night shift

Somebody answers at 11 PM.

The chat answers whether or not anyone is at the desk. A visitor who needs a person leaves the conversation in your inbox, where the morning shift finds it next to the overnight voicemails and texts.

04 — For your guests

An answer in the window they already have open.

No app, no form, and no waiting for an email. A returning visitor picks up where they left off, because the chat remembers their conversation.

Frequently asked questions

What is a hotel chatbot, and how does Hello Hotel’s work?

A hotel chatbot is a chat window on a hotel’s website where visitors ask questions and get answers without calling or emailing. Hello Hotel’s is answered by an AI that reads from your property’s own knowledge base, synced from Mews and filled in by your team. It is part of your phone system rather than a separate tool: every chat lands in the same shared inbox as your calls and texts, and a visitor can reach a person at any point.

Does the AI answer website visitors on its own?

Yes, when AI mode is turned on for your web chat. The AI then replies to visitors directly, with no one on your team reviewing each answer first. That is different from the shared inbox, where AI Assist drafts a reply and a person edits and sends it. A “Talk to a human” option is always on screen in the chat, so a visitor who wants a person gets one.

Can visitors reach a real person?

Yes, at any point. The “Talk to a human” option is always visible and becomes prominent if the AI declines to answer. When a visitor chooses it, the conversation lands in your shared inbox, the same one your team answers calls and texts from, for someone to pick up. The visitor starts fresh with that person rather than the AI’s transcript carrying over, so your team asks what they need.

Can the chat show rooms and rates?

Yes, when your Mews connection is set up. Room search returns real listings for the visitor’s dates, with room photos, the rates for each room, and a booking link that opens with those dates filled in. The rates come from the booking engine URL in your AI agent settings, so the chat quotes the same rates your booking engine does. If you haven’t added that URL, the chat shows your public rates.

Where does the AI get its answers?

From your knowledge base and nowhere else. Your property, rooms, rates, and services sync from Mews. You add house rules, local recommendations, and the questions your team hears every day. You can also point it at pages on your own website, and it imports them. It does not answer from general web content.

How do we install it?

Copy a small script and your publishable key from the web chat settings page into your website, and check the result in the live preview there. It loads as a standard embed. If you ever need it off, you switch it off from Hello Hotel without touching your site.

Does web chat cost extra?

No. Web chat is part of every Hello Hotel plan. The AI’s answers draw from the Agentic AI Credits included in your plan, measured from what the AI actually reads and writes, and your usage shows on the billing page. Full details are on the pricing page.

What happens if a visitor closes the chat and comes back?

They pick up where they left off. A session stays open for 24 hours and can be resumed for up to a week, so a visitor who checks rates on Tuesday and comes back Thursday sees their earlier conversation. Sessions that go idle close on their own.
